Si algo le hacía falta a este blog, era música de Dire Straits, durante todo este recorido busqué el momento apropiado para reconocer el extraordinario aporte que le dieron a la música los señores Mark Knopfler, David Knopfler, Pick Whiters y John Illsley con su banda “Dire Straits” que significa “situación límite“.

“Sultans of Swing” es un tema que apareció en año 1978, aquí se evidencia la calidad y maestría de Mark Knopfler con la guitarra que lo llevó a ser situado por la revista Rolling Stone en el puesto 27 de la lista de los 100 mejores guitarristas de todos los tiempos.

Otros grandes temas de la banda son: Walk of Life, Money for Nothing, Tunnel of Love, Telegraph Road, Heavy Fuel, Romeo & Juliet, entre otras.
